THIS is how you do genderbends. There is NO reason to sexualize their costumes or their poses unless you’re going for a porn thing (perfectly acceptable). The only costume that’s really been changed at all is Bruce’s and all they’ve really done is exchanged the pants for a pencil skirt. Not a mini-skirt. A pencil skirt.

Also the fact that Nat’s costume is completely unchanged on the male version just goes to show how little the original is sexualized, despite what people think. It’s figure-hugging, yes. So is Cap’s, so is Clint’s, so is Tony’s for that matter. Hulk strips down to a pair of ripped shorts, for christ’s sake. It looks like her butt is emphasized because Scarlett happens to have a bangin’ ass that looks good in a cat-suit. If she had a flat butt, it would look flat.

Okay, I’m done.

This is abso-fucking-lutely brilliant. Especially everyone’s hair. 

The decision to keep Fury bald is just amazing. One thing about super-ladies that really bothers me is that they always have this mass of hair that is just begging to be grabbed by some assailant or getting in their face. Lady Thor’s braids are also fantastic, very true to Norse tradition, and Lady Tony’s hair is perfect.

honestly tho I just don’t see how you can believe that Steve is a Republican if you even knew ANYTHING about him because Steve is literally an example of someone who would vote on those ~dumb social issues~ above all else, those are the things that matter the most to him and have since he was still a scrawny dude. People get way too caught up in “well he’s from the 40s” without actually knowing what the 40s were like and what Steve was like in that same time period, too.

And tbh it really annoys me because it’s almost always done by people who legitimately think that rich white businessman Tony Stark would vote Democrat. No. I hate to break it to everyone but 616 Tony probably gives no shits at all about ~social issues~ that don’t directly affect him and is much more likely to vote in ways that keep him rolling in the money/contracts etc. MCU!Tony probably voted Republican for a lot of his life too and IF he’s stopped it’s because he’s not voting anymore, imo. 

Steve is the one who is going to give a shit about poor people getting fucked over so rich people don’t have to pay taxes, okay. He’s the one who will care that people who love each other can’t get married or that yes, racism is still alive and well in this country but nobody wants to admit it. Those social issues are the things that matter the most to Steve and they always have.

If you’re that desperate to make one half of this pairing homophobic or racist or any of those other things, it’s not going to be Steve. You need to be looking at the privileged white dude who was raised entirely in a world of alpha males, not the poor immigrant kid from NYC who’s spent his entire life standing up for people who were bullied just because it was the right thing to do. That’s kind of the entire point of Steve, you know?

Stop it with the fic where Steve is terrified of Natasha, or Maria, or Pepper, or guh, Darcy. I guess people think it’s cute, or whatever.

Seriously. Strong women don’t make Steve scared, they make him swoon.

The only thing Steve is afraid of is that strong women won’t like him.

Acting like Steve is afraid of women also ignores one of my favorite moments of the movies, where Steve isn’t sure if Clint can be trusted, but he looks to Natasha and it just takes one nod from her for Steve to be okay with it. He respects people who know what they’re doing, male or female.

They write Steve afraid of strong women because they are afraid of strong women.

Good characterization /= projection (said the woman who just kind of writes Tony Stark as her id).
